The Phoenix Junior Academy is committed to providing an exciting education for all pupils.  We aim for children to achieve the best and be the best they can. We offer students a curriculum focussed on the core subjects of English, Maths, ICT and Science but alongside these are opportunities for study in the Humanities, Arts, Technology and PE.

We are a supportive school who will guide the trainee teacher to develop their style in delivering good and outstanding lessons. Under expert tutelage, you will observe, co-teach and then solo teach using the most up to date and creative teaching methods. You will have the opportunity to work with children from different age groups as well as join in with a range of extra curricular activities that will fully prepare you for life as a primary school teacher. One day a week you will meet with other primary trainee teachers at Kent and Medway’s training centre or at the MVTP hub school where your training programme will include workshops, lectures and tutorial support that enhances further your generic teaching skills.

Primary school days should be the most magical, fun filled days of a young person’s life. A time to make friends, to sing, dance, laugh, run, jump, play as well as learn.
