Medway Valley Training Partnership has an ever increasing number of partner primary schools dotted in and around the Medway and Maidstone areas of Kent.
Our courses focus on the teaching of Key Stage 1 and 2 students and we do have the opportunity to take, not just a Primary course but for those qualified to do so, a Primary with Maths option that comes with a teacher training bursary.
Our training is practical in nature, with the majority of your time being spent in the company of experienced teachers, learning to teach in the classroom environment. This training is enhanced by specialist studies and professional lectures that development your pedagogical and theoretical knowledge and understanding.
All courses can be taken for the “Qualified Teacher Status” (QTS) qualification or with a top up from Leeds Beckett University to the “Postgraduate Certificate of Teacher Training” (PGCE).
Due to the limited capacity of each school, most are only able to offer one placement per subject area and therefore early application for your preferred school is essential if you want to secure a training opportunity there.
Unlike some providers, Medway Valley Training Partnership allows you to apply to the school of your choice and we aim to give you a decision as to whether the school wishes to follow up your application within 10 working days of receipt of it from DfE APPLY.
